Knowledgebase Information Sources
Only research articles describing original scientific studies and results are included in a knowledgebase.
With few exceptions, these articles contain tables and/or figures describing the study environment, methods and results.
Letters, meta-analyses, reviews and practice guidelines are not included in a knowledgebase.

Search Using the Thesauri
Thesauri are sets of terms, often referred to as
"controlled vocabulary" or "indexing terms," that provide a hierarchical structure and
language
for searching. We use a controlled vocabulary thesaurus based on both
the domain and the Unified Medical
Language System.
The following thesauri can be searched using the "Browse by Topic" feature:
Authors
Genes/Proteins
Organisms/Subjects
Research Findings
Source of Organisms/Subjects
