Mapping Details
MapIt! provides several ways for you to control the concept maps.
Rearrange a map:
Click on a node to localize the view to the node and its immediate neighbors.
Move the nodes by dragging them.
Move the concept map by dragging the background.
Reconfigure a map by expanding a concept's relationships beyond your initial document set:
Double-click on the little box with a number affixed to the upper right-hand corner of a node.
Right click on a node and select “Expand Node”.
Reconfigure a map by collapsing a concept's relationships,
Right click on a node and select “Collapse Node”. Collapsing a node has the opposite effect of expanding it.
Right click on a node and select “Hide Node”. The largest connected portion of the map will remain visible.
Right click on an edge and select “Hide Edge”. [Be careful! Detached nodes are not hidden and will fly away.]
Experiment navigating with a map:
Search on an individual concept by double-clicking on it.
Return to the Telemakus results page to see your retrieval set.
Search for a relationship by clicking on the edge between 2 nodes.
Return to the Telemakus results page to see your retrieval set.
